D5000 Nikon Bundle

Nikon D5000 or Canon EOS Rebel T1i?

I will be taking a photography class my freshmen year. Which camera should I buy? Keep in mind that I will always be taking videos. And, the Canon will come with a 55-250mm IS Lens. The Nikon will come with a Dolica tripod & Dolica bundle kit.
