What would be a good lens for Nikon D40?
I only have one lens and that’s the one that came with the camera and recommendations? I would like to start shooting sports, architecture, and close-ups. So if you know any good lenses please tell. Also is this lens good for the D40 a friend offered to sell it to me for $75-(Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens). At the moment i have $250 for a lens but it would be great if guys gave me a list of few very good lenses in the $150- $300 range.
I recommend Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX VR [Vibration Reduction] Zoom Nikkor Lens + 52mm UV Glass Filter + Accessory Kit for D40, D60, D90, D200, D300, D300s, D3000, D5000 Digital SLR Cameras
