Nikon D3000 Camera Case

Left my Nikon D3000 on all day?

Today I was doing some quick shots and when I was packing up, put my lens cover on and put my camera back in its case. I guess I forgot to turn it off and it had been on all day long. Would this harm it?

I leave my D60 on almost all the time. I really only turn it off to put it in the bag, so buttons don’t get pushed. Once, I left it on for almost a whole week, and the battery was still full.
