Are Nikon Cameras Worth the Extra Cash?

I have seriously considered taking my photography as my career. However, I own an Olympus point and shoot type of camera (Good for frivilous photos). Are Nikons really worth the extra cash? I’ve seen photos on Flickr of those who used Nikons, and I can’t tell if the photos were photoshopped extensively or they were actual unedited photos from the Nikon.

I’ve used Nikons for almost 30 years & I wouldn’t change. Some people are just as passionate about Canons.

However, the camera is less important than the person behind the lens.

Do some research on both Canons & Nikons in your price range. Then, look at them in a store. If you decide to buy online, make sure that the seller is an authorized dealer for the camera. Make sure it comes with a factory US warranty.

Good luck!
